Motorola Pro + Hits UK Shelves

Motorola’s Pro +handset has finally gone on sale in the UK almost exactly one year since the device hit shelves across the Atlantic.

Online tech retailer Clove has listed the candaybar-style handset on their product pages accompanied by a £322.80 pricetag.

The Android Gingerbread device looks not dissimilar BlackBerry’s recent touchscreen-sporting efforts and features a 3.1-inch display constructed from scratch-proof Gorilla glass, 4GB internal storage (expandable via micro SD), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, a 5MP camera with LED flash as well as a full QWERTY keyboard.

Motorola had originally intimated that the handset’s predecessor, the Motorola Pro, would be coming to British shores at Mobile World Congress in February this year. However, the prospective device fell off the radar overshadowed by the like of the Motorola Atrix and more recentyly, the Motorola Razr.

The decision to launch the Pro + into more territories will more than likely have been taken so as to give the manufacturer more visibility in the QWERTY market, an area on which it hasn’t encroached since the launch of the Milestone 2 in 2010.
